I read on their website that you have to have at least 6 months of kitchen experience to get accepted. At my high school there is a program that shows how to use equipment in the kitchen and shows how to make some things and learn about foods. Could that be like 6 months of kitchen experience? I am a former chef from Canada and I worked with 4 graduates of the CIA, there concern and requirement for that is so you know what your getting into, your course wold give you a good background and they would consider it towards the application requirements, I think they would accept it, if you could find a part time job in a restaurant or kitchen, that would make it easier for you.
