What kitchen tool can be a good birthday gift?
April 10, 2011
Hi. So my friend’s birthday is coming up, and i’m not really sure what to give her. She loves to cook, both meals and cakes though she prefers pastry and such. I’ve given her recipe books for the past 3 years so I can’t really do this this year too. I was thinking something original that could help her in her cooking would be good, but I don’t really know anything in that area. She’s a great cooking fan but she only has the basic normal housewife kitchen equipment, so any utensil that one doesn’t normally have should do. If possible not too expensive and not too big like an oven or such things, i’m more looking for tools like, I don’t know, special knives or molds.
Thanks in advance^^
Heins,
I hope you are somewhere in the USA. I love to cook and bake and recently I got a small food processor, it helps me all the time. It’s small and no to0 bulky and real simple to you. I hope you might like this because I sure did in my kitchen!
PS Kohls always have sales.
A very nice set of knives sounds good, you can get them at Target since you can’t spend so much money or umm a set of measuring cups, or a really nice corkscrew? Or maybe just silverware.
Hi Heins, Tims Here
its a good deed to give a birthday gift,
first i wanna give you a best suggestion i ever made to my friend, what is that?
========= An APRON, ================
How special is APRON? Why its must give an Apron?
wow wow wow, don’t think this apron will be as same as other apron,
give her a SPECIAL APRON SHE EVER SEEN, apron with a handmade with a special words, like:
______________________________________________________
Again and Again, yes we wanna you to make us smile with your pastry!
or
OMG i feels like pro’ chef with this!
______________________________________________________
And if you give your signature @ the apron, it will be unforgetable gift!
a granite mortar and pestle for making homemade pesto the real way. Anything that would be made in a food processor can be made in a mortar and pestle. It takes more work, but it gives a much better flavor. You could give potted basil plant with this for her to grow her own basil and make the best pesto.
I’m not gonna lie, that’s a pretty awesome gift idea.
Set of knifes will sound good. As a birthday present.
You’ve got several good suggestions. You might consider a pressure cooker.Either stovetop or electric. We have an electric one and really like it.
What about an embossed pastry board:
